Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
alaṅkṛtās trayo lokāḥ pathibhir vimalais tribhiḥ | yas tu tasyā jalaṁ seveta kṛtakṛtyaḥ pumān bhavet ||
The verse teaches the purificatory and spiritually completing power attributed to Gaṅgā: since her pure flow is said to pervade the three worlds, contact with her water is presented as a dharmic act that brings a person to ‘kṛtakṛtyatā’—a sense of having fulfilled one’s religious and moral aims.
A Siddha (perfected being) is praising the sanctity of Gaṅgā in a tirtha-mahātmya context, describing her threefold course through the cosmic realms and declaring that one who partakes of her water attains the status of having accomplished what is to be accomplished.
