Upamanyur uvāca—brahma-proktair ṛṣi-proktair eva ca veda-vedāṅga-sambhavaiḥ | sarva-lokeṣu vikhyātaṁ stutyaṁ stotuṁ yāmi nāmabhiḥ ||
Упаманью сказал: «Именами, которым учил Брахма, которые провозгласили риши и которые восходят к Ведам и их вспомогательным наукам, я ныне прославлю Владыку — известного во всех мирах и достойного поклонения».
वायुदेव उवाच
True praise of the Divine should be grounded in authoritative tradition—names and epithets transmitted through Brahmā, the sages, and the Vedic corpus—showing reverence, humility, and fidelity to dharma.
Upamanyu announces his intention to begin a hymn of praise, stating that he will glorify the Lord using well-known sacred names derived from Brahmā, the ṛṣis, and the Vedas with their Vedāṅgas.
