कृतयत्नाफलाश्रैव दृश्यन्ते शतशो नरा: । अयत्नेनैधमानाश्र दृश्यन्ते बहवो जना:

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | kṛtayatnāphalāś caiva dṛśyante śataśo narāḥ | ayatnenaiva dhanaṃ yeṣāṃ dṛśyante bahavo janāḥ ||

Translation

Юдхиштхира сказал: «Сотнями видны люди, чьи усилия не приносят плода: они стараются, но не достигают желаемого. И видно также многих, чьё богатство день ото дня растёт, даже без труда.»
