एवमुक्तस्तदात्रिरवँ तमोनुदभवच्छशी । अपश्यत् सौम्यभावाच्च सोमवत् प्रियदर्शन:
evam uktas tadātrir avaṁ tamonudabhavac chaśī | apaśyat saumyabhāvāc ca somavat priyadarśanaḥ |
Бхишма сказал: Когда боги сказали так, мудрец Атри тотчас принял образ Луны — разгоняющей тьму. С тихим и кротким обликом он был приятен взору, словно сам Сома, и спокойно взглянул на богов. Затем, увидев, что сияние Луны и Солнца померкло, Атри — силой своих аскез — разлил свет по полю битвы, изгнал мрак и озарил весь мир.
