ईशान: प्राणद: प्राणो ज्येष्ठ: श्रेष्ठ: प्रजापति: । हिरण्यगर्भो भूगर्भो माधवों मधुसूदन:
īśānaḥ prāṇadaḥ prāṇo jyeṣṭhaḥ śreṣṭhaḥ prajāpatiḥ | hiraṇyagarbho bhūgarbho mādhavo madhusūdanaḥ ||
Бхишма сказал: Он — Ишана, верховный Владыка, правящий всеми существами; дарующий дыхание жизни и само дыхание. Как первопричина Он — старший из всех, а как высшее совершенство — лучший. Он — Праджапати, Господь созданий. Он — Хираньягарбха, пронизывающий золотое космическое яйцо как источник творения; и Бху-гарбха, удерживающий землю в Своём лоне.
