Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

उत्पादितं वृषाड्केन दीप्तज्वलनसंनिभम्‌ | दत्तं भगवता तुभ्य॑ दुर्धर्ष तेजसाद्भुतम्‌

utpāditaṃ vṛṣāṅkena dīptajvalanasaṃnibham | dattaṃ bhagavatā tubhya durdharṣaṃ tejasādbhutam ||

Васудева сказал: «То оружие, пылающее, как разожжённый огонь, было порождено Владыкой с бычьим знаком (Шивой) и даровано тебе. Оно исполнено дивного, неотразимого сияния и непобедимо — дар, который Шанкара некогда вручил после того, как сразил гордого демона, обитавшего в водах».
