तत्राश्रमपदे श्रेष्ठे सर्वभूतमनोरमे । सेविते द्विजशार्टूलैवेंदवेदाड़पारगै:

Transliteration

tatrāśramapade śreṣṭhe sarvabhūtamanorame | sevite dvijaśārdūlaiḥ vedavedāṅgapāragaiḥ ||

Translation

Там, в том превосходном ашраме — приятном всем существам, посещаемом первейшими брахманами, постигшими Веды и их вспомогательные науки, — я вошёл и увидел Упаманью: драгоценность среди брахманов, с волосами, собранными в джату, и в одежде из коры, могучего и сияющего, пылающего, как огонь, силой тапаса, спокойного нрава, в расцвете юности, сидящего в окружении учеников.
