Transliteration

Bhīṣma uvāca: kena te ca bhavet prītiḥ? kathaṃ tuṣṭiṃ tu gacchasi? iti pṛṣṭaḥ surendreṇa provāca Harir Īśvaraḥ.

Translation

Бхишма сказал: «От чего рождается Твоя радость и как можно поистине удовлетворить Тебя?» Так, будучи спрошен Сурендрой (Индрой), владыкой богов, Хари — Верховный Господь — ответил. (Бхишма повествует Юдхиштхире древний эпизод, где Индра спрашивает Вишну, какие деяния Ему угодны, вводя учение о сокровенных тонкостях дхармы.)
