FAQs

It underscores that worldly power (even “mountain-bearing” strength) is subordinate to Pati (Shiva) and his Shakti; Linga worship is framed as surrender that dissolves pride and restores dharma through grace.

Shiva-tattva is implied through the presence of omniscience and Self-knowledge (sarvavit, ātmavit) operating as sovereign will: the Lord, through Shakti, governs events to liberate and correct the pashu bound by pasha.

The yogic takeaway is ātmavicāra (Self-inquiry) and humility: Self-knowledge aligned to Shiva’s grace is shown as the true power, central to the Pāśupata orientation of surrender to Pati.
