Тогда они украсили прекрасный город широкими знаменами и флагами, убранными драгоценностями, а также подношениями — лāджей (поджаренным зерном) и другими благими предметами.
Sūta (narrator) describing the scene within the Kurma Purana’s Purva-bhaga narrative frame
Primary Rasa: shringara
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
This verse is primarily descriptive and ritual-auspicious rather than metaphysical; it supports dharmic order by portraying how outer purity and auspicious preparation can accompany sacred aims, which in the Purana’s broader teaching ultimately point toward inner discipline and realization.
No explicit yoga technique is taught in this line; however, the emphasis on maṅgala (auspicious) preparation aligns with the Purana’s wider framework where disciplined conduct (ācāra), purity, and intentionality form supportive conditions for japa, vrata, and higher yogic practice (including Pāśupata-oriented devotion and restraint in later portions).
The verse does not directly mention Shiva or Vishnu; indirectly, it reflects the Kurma Purana’s integrated sacred culture where public rites and auspicious observances can be offered within a shared Shaiva–Vaishnava devotional landscape, later articulated more explicitly in the text’s synthesis teachings.
