Sūta/Narrator (descriptive narrative voice within the Purāṇic account)

Concept: Devotion is communal and multi-voiced; silence after praise is itself a devotional completion, making space for the next offering.

Vedantic Theme: Stuti culminating in mauna (speech dissolving into reverent quiet); bhakti as a shared movement of consciousness toward the Lord.

Application: In group worship, honor turns and transitions; allow silence after chanting; recognize devotion expressed through both speech and quiet presence.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

This verse shows the formal, sequential nature of stuti in Purāṇic narration—one devotee completes praise and falls silent, and another continues—highlighting devotion as an ordered spiritual offering.

It does not directly describe the soul’s journey; instead, it marks a narrative transition in a devotional section, showing how hymns are presented in succession within the text.

Practice disciplined devotion: complete prayers with attention, then allow space (silence) before continuing—either personally or in group recitation—so worship remains focused and respectful.
