FAQs

This verse prescribes arranging a dīpa-mālā after making and offering a donation; it emphasizes light-offering as a supportive ritual act performed with devotion alongside charity.

The instruction combines dāna (offering a specially made item), dīpa-dāna (lamp garland), and bhojana (feeding), which are typical supportive observances described in the Preta Kanda as ritual aids connected to post-death rites.

Perform charity thoughtfully, offer lamps in a sacred context, and feed people respectfully with devotion—keeping the focus on sincere giving and disciplined ritual conduct.
