Transliteration

tam abṛṁhitam ālokya prajā-sargaṁ prajāpatiḥ vindhya-pādān upavrajya so ’carad duṣkaraṁ tapaḥ

Translation

Но, увидев, что порождение живых существ идет не как следует, Праджапати Дакша отправился к горе близ хребта Виндхья и там совершал крайне суровые аскезы.
