The Disappearance of the Yadu Dynasty and Lord Kṛṣṇa’s Departure
apaśyatas tvac-caraṇāmbujaṁ prabho dṛṣṭiḥ praṇaṣṭā tamasi praviṣṭā diśo na jāne na labhe ca śāntiṁ yathā niśāyām uḍupe praṇaṣṭe
This verse teaches that peace and inner orientation arise from direct devotion and remembrance of Krishna’s lotus feet; without that vision, the devotee feels plunged into darkness and restlessness.
Uddhava speaks in separation from Sri Krishna; Krishna’s presence is compared to the moon that illuminates the night—without Him, Uddhava feels directionless and unable to find calm.
When life feels confusing or anxious, anchor the mind in steady devotional practice—remembering Krishna, prayer, and service—so the heart regains clarity, direction, and peace.
