Related Themes: Agni Purana 369 (Prāṇa-āyatana enumeration; dhātu descriptions)
Ayurvedic anatomical doctrine: it identifies specific organs/tissues (tongue, fat, testicles) by their dhātu/doṣa-derived constitution and classifies them among the prāṇa-āyatanas (vital seats sustaining life-breath).
It shows the text functioning as a compendium beyond mythology—preserving technical Ayurvedic physiology (dhātu composition and vital-seat theory) alongside the Purana’s broader subjects like ritual, polity, and arts.
By teaching accurate knowledge of prāṇa’s supports, it encourages disciplined care of the body as a dharma-instrument; safeguarding prāṇa is treated as preserving the basis for sādhanā, duty, and purity of conduct.
