Chapter 369 — शरीरावयवाः
The Limbs/Organs and Constituents of the Body
चैतन्यानुगता भावःसर्वे तत्र व्यवस्थिताः तस्य वामे तथा प्लीहा दक्षिणे च तथा यकृत्
caitanyānugatā bhāvaḥsarve tatra vyavasthitāḥ tasya vāme tathā plīhā dakṣiṇe ca tathā yakṛt
Все функциональные состояния (бхавы), следующие за сознанием, утверждены там; слева от него находится селезёнка, а справа — также печень.

Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Ayurveda","secondary_vidya":"Philosophy","practical_application":"Maps functional states associated with consciousness to the heart-region and gives organ laterality (spleen left, liver right), aiding anatomical orientation and traditional physiology teaching.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"List","entry_title":"Heart as locus of conscious functions; spleen and liver positions","lookup_keywords":["caitanya","bhāva","hṛdaya","plīhā","yakṛt"],"quick_summary":"All bhāvas that follow consciousness are said to be established in the heart. The spleen is placed to the left and the liver to the right, providing a laterality map of key organs."}
Concept: Consciousness-linked states (bhāvas) are grounded in a central locus (heart), bridging physiology and inner life.
Application: Encourages heart-centered contemplation and supports holistic clinical observation of mental states alongside bodily signs.
Khanda Section: Ayurveda (Anatomy/Physiology: internal organs and loci of vital functions)

Sandhi Resolution Notes: भावःसर्वे = भावाः + सर्वे (visarga/orthographic joining); चैतन्यानुगता = चैतन्य + अनुगताः (compound sense, written together); other words mostly unsandhied.

Ayurvedic śārīra-vidyā (anatomy/physiology): it locates the plīhā (spleen) to the left and the yakṛt (liver) to the right of the referenced bodily locus, while noting that consciousness-linked functional states (bhāvas) are situated there.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s inclusion of practical medical science—mapping internal organs and discussing physiological principles—alongside its ritual, theological, and governance material.
By treating the body as an ordered seat of consciousness and functions, the verse supports disciplined self-care and clarity for dharma-practice; bodily knowledge is framed as aiding purity, steadiness of mind, and effective religious observance.
