Mahabharata (Gita Press) 3.39.5

किरातवेषसंच्छन्न: स्त्रीभिश्वापि सहस्रश: । अशोभत तदा राजन्‌ स देशोडतीव भारत

kirātaveṣasaṃchannaḥ strībhiś cāpi sahasraśaḥ | aśobhata tadā rājan sa deśo ’tīvabhārata ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O king, at that time the illustrious Lord (Śiva), concealed in the guise of a Kirāta, shone forth—surrounded by thousands of women. And, O descendant of Bharata, that whole region became exceedingly beautiful with the movement and presence of that retinue.”
