तथापि सत्यं वक्तव्यं ब्रह्मराक्षस नित्यशः॥ श्वपाकवचनं श्रुत्वा ब्रह्मरक्षो भयानकम्॥

tathāpi satyaṃ vaktavyaṃ brahmarākṣasa nityaśaḥ || śvapākavacanaṃ śrutvā brahmarakṣo bhayānakam ||

«Ainda assim, a verdade deve ser dita sempre, ó brahmarākṣasa.» Ao ouvir as palavras do śvapāka, o terrível brahmarākṣasa (respondeu).
