स तामाह महाभागे बद्धो ऽस्मि कपिना वटे जटास्वेवं सुदुष्टेन जीवामि तपसो बलात्
sa tāmāha mahābhāge baddho 'smi kapinā vaṭe jaṭāsvevaṃ suduṣṭena jīvāmi tapaso balāt
Ele lhe disse: “Ó nobre senhora, estou preso em Kapinā-vata (a figueira‑de‑bengala chamada ‘Kapinā’). Por este extremamente perverso, sou mantido firmemente em minhas madeixas ascéticas (jaṭā); contudo, continuo a viver pelo poder da minha austeridade (tapas).”
