वेदशास्त्राणि चान्यानि पदपांसुमिव त्यजेत् । गुरुभक्तिं सदा कुर्याच्छ्रेयसे भूयसे नरः ॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

वेद-शास्त्राणि । च । अन्यानि । पद-पांसुम्-इव । त्यजेत् । गुरु-भक्तिम् । सदा । कुर्यात् । श्रेयसे । भूयसे । नरः ॥

IAST Transliteration

vedaśāstrāṇi cānyāni padapāṃsum iva tyajet | gurubhaktiṃ sadā kuryāc chreyase bhūyase naraḥ ||

Translation

E deve-se pôr de lado os Vedas e outros tratados como poeira aos pés; o homem deve sempre cultivar devoção ao guru, em vista do bem supremo e do bem maior.

Academic Translation

And one should set aside the Vedas and other treatises like dust on the feet; the man should always practice devotion to the guru for the sake of the highest good and the greater (good).
