Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 26

आराधनीयाः सततं भूदेवा भूतिमीप्सता । प्रकोपनीया नैवैते तत्त्वज्ञा हि तपस्विनः

ārādhanīyāḥ satataṃ bhūdevā bhūtimīpsatā | prakopanīyā naivaite tattvajñā hi tapasvinaḥ

Quem busca prosperidade e bons auspícios deve venerar sempre os “deuses na terra”, os brāhmaṇas. Nunca se deve provocá-los, pois os ascetas conhecedores da verdade são verdadeiros videntes da realidade.
