Skanda (deduced from Dvārakā Māhātmya context)
Tirtha: Dvārakā (invoked through gopīcandana)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A household altar: a small box of gopīcandana on a clean cloth, a devotee applying Urdhva-puṇḍra tilaka; behind, a subtle vision of Dvārakā’s temple and Kṛṣṇa standing with conch and discus, indicating the kṣetra’s presence in the home.
Sacred presence is invoked through devotion and sanctifying Vaiṣṇava symbols; a home becomes spiritually equivalent to Dvārakā.
Dvārakā is glorified as mystically present wherever gopīcandana is reverently kept.
Keeping gopīcandana clay in one’s home (and by implication using it for Vaiṣṇava tilaka/pūjā) is praised.
