चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । प्रेतत्वं नाशमायाति कथमेतत्पितामहाः । कर्मणा केन तत्सर्वं यच्चाहं प्रकरोमि तत्
candraśarmovāca | pretatvaṃ nāśamāyāti kathametatpitāmahāḥ | karmaṇā kena tatsarvaṃ yaccāhaṃ prakaromi tat
Candraśarman disse: «Como é que o estado de preta não chega ao fim para os meus antepassados? Por que ação pode tudo isto ser remediado—o que tiver de ser feito, eu o farei.»

Scene: Candraśarman, moved by the plight of his grandfathers, vows to perform whatever remedy is required; he stands with folded hands before the speaking pretas/elders, with a temple of Keśava in the background and ritual items ready for expiation.
Sincere responsibility toward ancestors and willingness to perform corrective dharma opens the path to liberation and relief.
