चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । के यूयं विकृताकारा जंतूनां च भयानकाः । पृथ्वीसमुद्भवा जीवा न दृष्टा न श्रुता मया
candraśarmovāca | ke yūyaṃ vikṛtākārā jaṃtūnāṃ ca bhayānakāḥ | pṛthvīsamudbhavā jīvā na dṛṣṭā na śrutā mayā
Candraśarman disse: “Quem sois vós, de formas deformadas, terríveis aos seres vivos? Pareceis criaturas nascidas da terra — contudo, nunca vos vi nem ouvi falar de vós antes.”
