Type: kund
Listener: Dvija-sattamāḥ (brāhmaṇas)
Scene: A group of brāhmaṇas seated near the tīrtha, reciting its origin and singing praises; the water-source glimmers while subtle sin-symbols (darkness) dissipate into light.
Contact with sacredness can be mental and verbal: smaraṇa (remembrance) and kīrtana (praise) are themselves purifying acts.
The same Viṣṇupadodbhava tīrtha referenced in the immediate context of Adhyāya 11.
Remember the tīrtha and recite its praise (kīrtana) as a means of destroying sin.
