Tirtha: Dvārakā
Type: kshetra
Scene: The cow is richly prepared: jeweled tail, bronze milking vessel, white cloth veil. The king performs formal honoring of the brāhmaṇa and presents the gift with dakṣiṇā.
True dāna includes both the gift and respectful completion—honoring the recipient and adding dakṣiṇā to perfect the offering.
Dvārakā’s sacred ethos is highlighted by showcasing ideal charitable conduct within its māhātmya narration.
Go-dāna performed after proper honoring (abhyarcana) of the brāhmaṇa, and giving dakṣiṇā as part of the rite.
