सौदास उवाच । आराधिता द्विजा विप्र भवंति सुगतिप्रदाः । असन्तुष्टा दुर्गतिदाः सद्यो मम यथा पुरा
saudāsa uvāca | ārādhitā dvijā vipra bhavaṃti sugatipradāḥ | asantuṣṭā durgatidāḥ sadyo mama yathā purā
Saudāsa disse: «Ó brāhmaṇa, quando os duas-vezes-nascidos são devidamente honrados, tornam-se doadores de bom destino. Quando descontentes, tornam-se doadores de infortúnio — como me aconteceu outrora, de imediato».
