Transliteration

tīrthānāṃ tīrthamādyaṃ ca gaṃgākhyamavatāritam | tadviṣṇoścaraṇenaiva sametaṃ brahmaṇā kṛtam

Translation

O tīrtha primordial entre todos os tīrthas, chamado Gaṅgā, foi feito descer; e foi estabelecido pelo próprio pé de Viṣṇu, realizado por Brahmā.
