Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) speaking to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Nivāsa/Mahālayā area (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sages
Scene: A vast panorama: mountains ground to powder, forests and cities swept away; the whirling headless body becomes a dark vortex, flattening all beings—birds, beasts, trees, rocks—into a storm of dust.
Unchecked craving can disturb the whole created order; dharma safeguards the harmony of all beings—mobile and immobile.
The verse supports Kedārakhaṇḍa’s sacred-geography narrative, preparing for the naming and glorification of nearby holy places.
