एवं ब्रुवंतो हि तदा सुरासुराः सलोकपाला ऋषिभिश्च साकम् । विष्णुं पुरस्कृत्य तमालवर्णं शंभुं शरण्यं शरणं प्रपन्नाः
evaṃ bruvaṃto hi tadā surāsurāḥ salokapālā ṛṣibhiśca sākam | viṣṇuṃ puraskṛtya tamālavarṇaṃ śaṃbhuṃ śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapannāḥ
Falando assim, os Devas e os Asuras, juntamente com os Lokapālas e os Ṛṣis, pondo Viṣṇu à frente, renderam-se e buscaram refúgio em Śambhu, o Senhor de tonalidade escura, o verdadeiro Refúgio de todos.
