विदुरेष्यद्धियाऽपायं परतोऽन्ये विवेकिनः । नैवोभयं विदुर्नीचा विनाऽनुभवमात्मनः
vidureṣyaddhiyā'pāyaṃ parato'nye vivekinaḥ | naivobhayaṃ vidurnīcā vinā'nubhavamātmanaḥ
Os prudentes reconhecem o perigo ainda quando ele se aproxima; outros o entendem depois que aconteceu. Mas os vis não conhecem nem um nem outro, a não ser quando o experimentam em si mesmos.
