बहूदकस्य तीरे च प्रेतानुद्दिश्य दीयते । यत्किंचिदक्षयं तेषामुपतिष्ठेन्न चान्यथा
bahūdakasya tīre ca pretānuddiśya dīyate | yatkiṃcidakṣayaṃ teṣāmupatiṣṭhenna cānyathā
E tudo quanto se dá na margem de Bahūdaka, destinando-o aos pretas (os falecidos), torna-se imperecível para eles—certamente lhes chega, e não de outro modo.
