स्वशरीरमालभेत् अनेन मंत्रेण । ओंखखोल्काय नमः । सप्तवारानुच्चार्य स्थातव्यम् । तेन शुद्धिरुपसंजायते देहस्यार्चार्हता भवति । पश्चादासनस्थं देवं सवितारं मंडलमध्ये द्वादशात्मकं सुरादिभिः संपूज्यमानं ध्यात्वा पूर्वोक्तमर्घपात्रं शिरसि कृत्वा भूमौ जानुनी निपात्य सूर्याभिमुखस्तद्गतमनाभूत्वार्घमंत्रमुदाहरेत् । तदुच्यते सूर्यवक्त्राद्विनिर्गतमिति
svaśarīramālabhet anena maṃtreṇa | oṃkhakholkāya namaḥ | saptavārānuccārya sthātavyam | tena śuddhirupasaṃjāyate dehasyārcārhatā bhavati | paścādāsanasthaṃ devaṃ savitāraṃ maṃḍalamadhye dvādaśātmakaṃ surādibhiḥ saṃpūjyamānaṃ dhyātvā pūrvoktamarghapātraṃ śirasi kṛtvā bhūmau jānunī nipātya sūryābhimukhastadgatamanābhūtvārghamaṃtramudāharet | taducyate sūryavaktrādvinirgatamiti
Deve-se tocar ou ungir o próprio corpo com este mantra: «Oṃ, reverência a Khakholkā». Tendo-o recitado sete vezes, deve-se permanecer firme; assim surge a pureza e o corpo torna-se apto ao culto. Depois, meditando em Savitṛ sentado em seu assento dentro do mandala como a divindade de doze aspectos, adorada pelos deuses, deve-se colocar o vaso de arghya preparado sobre a cabeça, ajoelhar-se no chão voltado para o Sol com a mente absorvida nele e recitar o arghya-mantra—dito ter saído da própria boca do Sol.
