भास्करार्घं विना पातः कृतं सर्वं च निष्फलम् । तस्याहं श्रोतुमिच्छामि विधिं विधिविदां वर
bhāskarārghaṃ vinā pātaḥ kṛtaṃ sarvaṃ ca niṣphalam | tasyāhaṃ śrotumicchāmi vidhiṃ vidhividāṃ vara
Sem oferecer arghya a Bhāskara (o Sol), toda recitação sagrada e toda observância realizada tornam-se infrutíferas. Por isso desejo ouvir o procedimento correto, ó o melhor entre os conhecedores dos ritos.
