ओंगं गणपतये नमः ओंक्षां क्षेत्रपालाय नमः ओंगं गुरुभ्यो नमः इति आकाशे ओंकौं कुलदेव्यै नमः ॐ नंदिने नमः ओंमहाकालाय नमः ओंधात्रे विधात्रै नमः । ततः प्रविस्य लिंगाच्च किञ्चिद्दक्षिणतः शुचिः । उदङ्मुखः क्षणं ध्यायेत्समकायासनस्थितः
oṃgaṃ gaṇapataye namaḥ oṃkṣāṃ kṣetrapālāya namaḥ oṃgaṃ gurubhyo namaḥ iti ākāśe oṃkauṃ kuladevyai namaḥ oṃ naṃdine namaḥ oṃmahākālāya namaḥ oṃdhātre vidhātrai namaḥ | tataḥ pravisya liṃgācca kiñciddakṣiṇataḥ śuciḥ | udaṅmukhaḥ kṣaṇaṃ dhyāyetsamakāyāsanasthitaḥ
«Oṃgaṃ, reverência a Gaṇapati. Oṃkṣāṃ, reverência a Kṣetrapāla, Guardião do recinto sagrado. Oṃgaṃ, reverência aos Gurus.» Em seguida, no céu aberto, recite: «Oṃkauṃ, reverência à Deusa da linhagem»; e: «Oṃ, reverência a Nandin; Oṃ, reverência a Mahākāla; Oṃ, reverência a Dhātṛ e Vidhātṛ.» Depois disso, entrando no santuário e mantendo-se puro, permaneça um pouco à direita do liṅga e, voltado para o norte, medite por um instante, sentado em āsana com o corpo firme e estável.
