यथा श्वा गृहद्वारस्थोबलिं गृह्णाति किं तथा । प्रधानपुरुषो राजन्गृह्णाति च शुना समः
yathā śvā gṛhadvārasthobaliṃ gṛhṇāti kiṃ tathā | pradhānapuruṣo rājangṛhṇāti ca śunā samaḥ
Assim como um cão, postado à porta de uma casa, arrebata a oferenda (bali) ali colocada, do mesmo modo, ó Rei, o “homem principal” que aceita dádivas impróprias não é melhor que um cão.
