Transliteration

koṭiyojanavistāraḥ kaṭāhaṛ saṃvyavasthitaḥ | brahmaṇoṃ'ḍaṃ kaṭāhena saṃyuktaṃ merumadhyataḥ

Translation

Ali está estabelecido um vasto ‘caldeirão’ (recinto), estendendo-se por um koṭi de yojanas. Dentro desse caldeirão está contido o Ovo de Brahmā (Brahmāṇḍa), com o monte Meru erguido no centro.
