Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 37

अनंतरं शांतभयं तदस्त्रं दैत्यास्त्रयोगेन च कालदण्डम् । शांतं तदालोक्य हरिः स्वमस्त्रं कोपेन कालानलतुल्यमूर्तिः

anaṃtaraṃ śāṃtabhayaṃ tadastraṃ daityāstrayogena ca kāladaṇḍam | śāṃtaṃ tadālokya hariḥ svamastraṃ kopena kālānalatulyamūrtiḥ

Logo depois, aquela arma—com o seu terror apaziguado—e até o Kāladaṇḍa foram serenados pelo emprego dos mísseis dos Daityas. Vendo-os assim acalmados, Hari, cuja forma na ira era como o fogo do fim dos tempos, tomou a sua própria arma.
