दुःखपारमपश्यंती प्राणांस्त्यक्तुं व्यवस्थिता । पुत्रं मे घोरदुःखस्य तारकं देहि चेत्कृपा
duḥkhapāramapaśyaṃtī prāṇāṃstyaktuṃ vyavasthitā | putraṃ me ghoraduḥkhasya tārakaṃ dehi cetkṛpā
Não vendo a outra margem deste oceano de tristeza, estou resolvida a desistir da minha vida. Se tens compaixão, concede-me um filho — um que me carregue através deste terrível pesar.
