पश्य जानुप्रदेशं मे द्व्यंगुलं रोमवर्जितम् । जातं वपुस्तद्बिभेमि मर्तव्ये सति किं गृहैः
paśya jānupradeśaṃ me dvyaṃgulaṃ romavarjitam | jātaṃ vapustadbibhemi martavye sati kiṃ gṛhaiḥ
“Vê a região junto ao meu joelho: por dois dedos de largura ficou sem pelos. Ao ver tal mudança em meu corpo, sou tomado de temor. Se a morte é certa, de que servem casas e posses?”
