Transliteration

upopaviśya pakṣīṃdrastasya yaṃtrasya nirbhayaḥ | kṣaṇaṃ vicārayāmāsa kimatra karavāṇyaho

Translation

Então o rei das aves, destemido, sentou-se junto àquele engenho e refletiu por um instante: «Ai de mim—que posso eu fazer aqui?»
