सहस्रकृत्वो गायत्र्याः शतकृत्वोथवा पुनः । दशकृत्वोथ देव्यैव कुर्यात्सौरीमुपस्थितिम्
sahasrakṛtvo gāyatryāḥ śatakṛtvothavā punaḥ | daśakṛtvotha devyaiva kuryātsaurīmupasthitim
Tendo repetido a Gāyatrī mil vezes—ou cem vezes, ou ainda dez vezes—deve-se então realizar a upasthiti, a presença reverente diante de Sūrya, tendo a própria Deusa (Gāyatrī) como meio.
