व्योमांगणमनर्कं च नक्तेऽदीपं यथा गृहम । अवेदा ब्राह्मणा यद्वद्गंगाहीनास्तथा दिशः
vyomāṃgaṇamanarkaṃ ca nakte'dīpaṃ yathā gṛhama | avedā brāhmaṇā yadvadgaṃgāhīnāstathā diśaḥ
Como o céu é desolado sem o sol, como uma casa à noite é inútil sem lâmpada, e como brāhmaṇas sem o Veda perdem sua verdadeira estatura, assim as direções empobrecem quando estão sem a Gaṅgā.
