विना यथा वैभवशक्तिमेकां भवंति हीनाः स्वफलैः क्रियौघाः । तथा विना तं द्विजवर्यमेकं दैत्या जयाशा विमुखा बभूवुः
vinā yathā vaibhavaśaktimekāṃ bhavaṃti hīnāḥ svaphalaiḥ kriyaughāḥ | tathā vinā taṃ dvijavaryamekaṃ daityā jayāśā vimukhā babhūvuḥ
Assim como uma multidão de ações, faltando-lhe uma única potência que as faça frutificar, fica privada de seus frutos próprios, assim também, sem aquele único brâmane supremo, Śukra, os Daityas voltaram-se para longe da esperança de vitória.
