श्रीसूत उवाच । वक्ष्यामि राक्षसं क्रूरं तं विप्राः शृणुतादरात् । यथा स राक्षसो जातो मुनीनां शापवैभवात्
śrīsūta uvāca | vakṣyāmi rākṣasaṃ krūraṃ taṃ viprāḥ śṛṇutādarāt | yathā sa rākṣaso jāto munīnāṃ śāpavaibhavāt
Śrī Sūta disse: «Descreverei esse rākṣasa cruel. Ó brāhmaṇas, ouvi com reverência: como esse rākṣasa veio a nascer, pela força potente da maldição dos sábios.»
