विण्मूत्रे विसृजेन्मौनी निशायां दक्षिणामुखः । न तिष्ठन्नाशु नो विप्र गोवन्ह्यनिलसंमुखः
viṇmūtre visṛjenmaunī niśāyāṃ dakṣiṇāmukhaḥ | na tiṣṭhannāśu no vipra govanhyanilasaṃmukhaḥ
Ao evacuar fezes e urina, deve-se permanecer em silêncio; à noite, deve-se voltar para o sul. Não se deve fazê-lo em pé nem com pressa, ó brāhmaṇa; nem se deve ficar voltado para vacas, fogo ou vento.
