एतदाख्यानकं पुण्यं धर्मेण कथितं पुरा । यः शृणोति नरो भक्त्या नारी वा श्रावयेत्तु यः । गोसहस्रफलं तस्य अंते हरिपुरं ब्रजेत्

etadākhyānakaṃ puṇyaṃ dharmeṇa kathitaṃ purā | yaḥ śṛṇoti naro bhaktyā nārī vā śrāvayettu yaḥ | gosahasraphalaṃ tasya aṃte haripuraṃ brajet

Este relato sagrado foi outrora proclamado segundo o Dharma. Quem—homem ou mulher—o ouve com devoção, ou faz com que seja recitado, alcança o mérito equivalente a doar mil vacas; e, ao fim da vida, vai à morada de Hari.
