चातुर्विद्यास्तथा प्रोक्ता अन्योन्यं वृत्तिमाश्रिताः । सत्रिभागास्तु त्रैविद्याश्चतुर्भागास्तु चात्रिणः
cāturvidyāstathā proktā anyonyaṃ vṛttimāśritāḥ | satribhāgāstu traividyāścaturbhāgāstu cātriṇaḥ
«Assim foram declarados os Cāturvidyas, sustentando-se mutuamente em seu meio de vida. Aos Traividyas foram dadas três partes, e aos Cātriṇas, quatro partes.»
