विष्णुरुवाच । गयाप्रयाग कस्याऽपि फलं समधिकं स्मृतम् । चतुर्द्दश्याममावास्यां लोहयष्ट्यां पिंडदानतः
viṣṇuruvāca | gayāprayāga kasyā'pi phalaṃ samadhikaṃ smṛtam | caturddaśyāmamāvāsyāṃ lohayaṣṭyāṃ piṃḍadānataḥ
Viṣṇu disse: O fruto de Gayā e de Prayāga é lembrado como superior ao de outros lugares, especialmente quando, no décimo quarto dia e no dia de lua nova (amāvāsyā), se oferecem piṇḍas em Lohayaṣṭī.
