Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 72

वेदमंत्रेण शुभ्रेण मंत्रयंते ततो द्विजाः । चरतां दंपतीनां हि परिवेश्य यथोचितम्

vedamaṃtreṇa śubhreṇa maṃtrayaṃte tato dvijāḥ | caratāṃ daṃpatīnāṃ hi pariveśya yathocitam

Depois, os duas-vezes-nascidos recitaram mantras védicos puros; e, conforme o rito, serviram devidamente as oferendas e o alimento aos casais que prosseguiam na cerimônia, como é devido.
